
The themes included recognizing the importance of labor (over billionaires), disapproval of the Trump administration’s policies and practices, support for immigrants, labor unions. Older themes (Hands Off!) blended with new (No Billionaires!) in a generally civil expression of disapproval.
It was cheerfully noisy morning, with supportive honks, drumming, horns and bells. As is typical of Claremont’s gatherings, the flow of traffic on the street was not impeded.
The atmosphere was friendly but with an undertone of stern disapproval.
Claremont also sees a regular turnout on Friday afternoons at this same corner (Indian Hill and Foothill) that has been and is on going.
