NO Kings! San Dimas and Claremont

The numbers are still rising.  So far, participation in No Kings day has reached  7 million people from 4,000 cities all across country.  On websites, like 50501 and Indivisible,  serious, angry and funny signs have proliferated  from large crowds of people stepping up to express their dissatisfaction.

Even at the extreme eastern edge of Los Angeles County, two small towns turned out in the thousands to express their political opinions.

Denizens of San Dimas (pop. 33,226) turned out in the hundreds at the busy confluence of the 210 Freeway, Arrow Highway and Bonita Avenue to cheer, honk and wave their signs.

In Claremont (pop. 36,139), where protesters gather to wave signs every  Friday afternoon, nearly 2,000 turned out on No Kings Day, October 18.  But on this Saturday, the crowd was so friendly and energetic, it seemed more like a rally than a protest.

There was live music, incessant honking, cheering, colorful costumes and many signs.  Some quite beautiful!
