I’ve said it before: we have the best winters. In most of the continental United States, the thought of flowers blooming in January is laughable.
But we have them here. The flowers below were photographed on January 3, 2026. They bloom in a wildland forest emblazoned with golden sycamore.

In order: crazy invasive mustard, wild cucumber, the true harbinger of Spring, and Pearly Everlasting.
