A day with puppies – all for a good cause

On Saturday April 30th the Mary S Roberts Pet adoption center had their 30th annual Walk With the Animals. The event was held at Fairmount Park in Riverside, CA. This is their first year back for their in person event due to COVID – 19 restrictions.

I found out about this event because our pup Zeus was adopted from this center and we received an email blast about the event. My husband and I are always trying to come up with things that we can do that include our pup and this was a perfect opportunity not only to meet local dog owners but also donate to a good cause.

We arrived on Saturday to pick up our shirt and bib and met up with our friends Ana and Andres and their beautiful dog Juneau. The event started at 9 am and the walk began at 10am. Before the walk we were able to enjoy a pancake breakfast and complimentary coffee from Starbucks. We walked around to see the different vendors and got some pretty awesome swag from local Animal hospitals and organizations.

The walk was 1.5 miles and brought in hundreds of walkers along with their dogs and even some cats in strollers. Once the walk was over they continued the festivities with pet contests and raffles. The MSRPAC brought together a great event for the pet community and I can’t wait to go back next year.
